Following a groundbreaking deal with the banking sector, post offices all over the UK can now offer enhanced banking services to customers and small businesses, ensuring that even the most remote communities retain easy access to their finances
With the banking sector undergoing a period of significant change resulting in branch closures, the Post Office has stepped in, making a deal with banks that has enabled it to provide services on their behalf, including those offered to the small business community.
The initiative will enable 99% of all UK consumer banking customers – and within the next few weeks, 95% of all small business banking customers – to access basic banking services, such as cash withdrawal, cash deposit and cheque deposits, across the entire Post Office network of about 11,600 branches, including those in the most remote communities in the UK.
